Wysh — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Wysh is a personal finance planning app published by Vionza. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to the information you put into it.

Every statement below describes how the app is actually built today. If the app changes in a way that makes any of this untrue, this page must be updated in the same release.

The short version

Wysh is local-first. The financial information you enter stays on your iPhone. Wysh has no user accounts, no Vionza server, and no advertising or analytics software. Your data leaves your device only when you choose to send it somewhere: when you tap Back Up Now (which stores it in your own private iCloud account), or when you export a copy and share it with an app or person of your choosing.

What Wysh stores, and where

Everything you enter — accounts, balances, transactions, recurring obligations, loans, assets, goals, budgets and your settings — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

Wysh does not transmit this information to Vionza. There is no Vionza backend, no Vionza database, and no sign-in. We cannot see your financial data.

If you use the Home Screen widget (see below), a small summary of a few figures is also kept in storage shared only between Wysh and its widget on your device.

iCloud backup

Wysh includes an optional backup feature under More › Data & Backup.

Exporting your data

Under More › Data & Backup › Export you can create a complete copy of your data (JSON) or a spreadsheet of your transactions (CSV) and send it wherever you like using the iOS share sheet — Files, AirDrop, Mail, another app.

Home Screen widget

Wysh includes an optional Safe to Spend widget. To draw it, the app saves a small summary — your safe-to-spend figure, available cash, reserved amount and your next upcoming payment — in an App Group, a storage area shared only between Wysh and its widget on your device. That summary is never transmitted anywhere.

If you turn on App Lock, the summary is replaced with an empty one and the widget shows a lock instead of figures. Erase all data removes it.

App Lock

App Lock is optional (More › Data & Backup › Privacy). It locks Wysh whenever it is closed or sent to the background, and uses Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework.

Subscriptions

Wysh Premium subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit.

What Wysh does not do

Bank messages and statement files

Premium includes importing transactions from a bank SMS you paste in, or from a CSV statement file you choose. This processing happens entirely on your device. The text and files are not uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

If you enable payment reminders (More › Payment reminders), Wysh schedules local notifications on your device: a reminder 7 days before a bill is due, and follow-ups 1, 3 and 7 days after it if it is still unpaid. They are created and delivered by iOS on your device and are not sent through any server.

A reminder's text includes the bill's name and — unless App Lock is on — the amount. Notifications can appear on your lock screen; you can control that in iOS Settings › Notifications › Wysh. Switching reminders off, or paying or skipping a bill, removes the reminders that no longer apply.

Diagnostics

Wysh does not log your financial information. If you choose to send Apple crash or diagnostic reports, that is handled by iOS under Apple's own policies and Vionza receives no financial data through it.

Children

Wysh is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your control over your data

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
